Oh, the holiday season is upon us and the ladies of
Seekerville want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas on this special day of
remembrance. Seventy-four years ago we were pulled into a war we could not
escape… And the world was changed, yet again. We want to give a huge shout out
to all of those serving and who have served! You… Yes, you…. Have made our
celebrations possible. Our freedom tangible. Our country strong. Not to mention
great heroes and heroines. J
Thank you!
An author’s life is skewed. If they measured us on their new
“autism” spectrum, most of us would be on it! That doesn’t explain all of our quirkiness, but it explains
some! We write Christmas books in spring and summer, we play hymns and carols
to put us in that “Joy to the World!” frame of mind and we peek back at
pictures of past Christmases or on the web to remind ourselves of a world awash
in snow and twinkle lights.
And we do that happily, to bring our readers beautiful
stories of faith, hope and love… with a few reindeer and festive red ribbons
attached!
Christmas opens hearts. The story of a child, born to the
poor, inspires even non-believers to open pocketbooks and checkbooks. The
season of light, of giving, of anticipation… It brightens the darkest month of
the year in the Northern Hemisphere and that’s a beautiful thing. It beckons a
new year, a chance to be bigger, better, braver, nicer, bolder, kinder,
happier!
And the days slowly start to lengthen in January, leading us
to spring.
Trees of Hope, Angel Trees, Trees of Light, Giving Trees…
churches, communities, organizations and businesses reach out with extra gusto,
inspired by the shining star of Bethlehem, lighting the way to a manger, and
the babe within.
So Merry Christmas to all, and a wish for peace on Earth…
and a blessing on your house!
The gifts under our tree are the delightful and inspiring romance
collections we’ve written together. All are available for $2.99 for your Kindle
or Kindle app on any device, but this week we’re offering all four Christmas

ReplyDeleteHello, Quilt Lady! Merry Christmas right back at you and a joyous and blessed New Year! I'm so glad you stopped over today!
DeleteOhh, what a great giveaway and by great authors! I would love one of the historical collections. Thank you.
ReplyDeletewfnren at aol dot com
Wendy!!!! I love, love, love these historical collections, they've been so much fun to write and produce. Oh my stars, there is nothing like taking a firm step back in time to the rigors of the past. I'm feeling absolutely spoiled now with all of our newfangled technology... just imagine no refrigerators, no washers, and boiling hot water on the stove... We are blessed! You're in!
DeleteCheryl, thanks for this opportunity to share the Seekerville tree with your readers! A Christmas tree lights up a room and fills me with joy. I guess the inner child lives on. :-) Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteJanet
Always a pleasure to get together with you and the Seekers!
DeleteHmmm, my comment disappeared before I finished typing, so if a partial comment comes through, y'all will know what happened. lol
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Quilt Lady. Wishing you joy and peace in celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Blessings, everyone!
Mine did too, Pam. But I typed it again and there's no partial. I wondered about that, too.
DeleteMy vote is you are both inept. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
DeleteIt is true, Ruthy. I suspect there is a blog somewhere with all my half-completed comments.
DeleteGood for laughs, huh? :)
We're so glad to be your guests today, Cheryl! I love your tree feature. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Missy! Delighted to host you for a day! xoxo
DeleteWendy and Quilt Lady, thanks for entering!
ReplyDeleteSure and it's a fine blog you've posted today, Cheryl me girl.
ReplyDelete(sorry on Seekerville today we're talking Irish accents. I'm having a hard time switching it off now!)
lol My brain was muck the season I wrote The Wedding Journey, an Irish historical. I couldn't turn it off in my head.
DeleteHahahahahahaha!
DeleteThat is true. It's hard to flip the switch when you've immersed yourself!!!
A Seekerville Christmas tree.....how perfect! Seekerville is filled with joy and fellowship all year long, but it is especially fitting to celebrate here as you spread the love this season through your faith-filled stories of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you for putting together a beautiful blog tour of festive trees, Cheryl. And thanks to the Seekers for today's featured tree.
Please don't enter me since I have read or am reading all these delightful collections....and highly recommend each one.
Blessings to all for a merry Christmas!
Sherida!!!! Aw, thank you, sweet friend! Your comment just made me smile!!!! Now feel free to duck above and make fun of Mary, Missy and Pam.
DeleteIt will make them feel at home!!! :)
Thank you for coming over here and for your kind words. God bless you!
Cheryl!!! Good morning my beautiful Midwestern friend, and huge thank yous for doing this! We love being part of the tour, and I've gotten a kick out of looking at folks' trees. Sweet!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm waving to all these sweet people here so far, and making fun of just a few!!! :)
Thank you for the chance to win a treasure of gifts. It would be an honor the give them a new home.
ReplyDeleteDeana, the honor is ours, LOL! We love to meet up with new readers! I'm tossing your name into the "Cat Dish"... :)
DeleteCheryl, thanks so much for inviting the Seekers to join your Great Christmas Tree Tour! My husband and I are "downsizing" our Christmas decorations this year since we won't have family in town, so it's a treat to enjoy everyone else's beautifully decorated trees!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars.....
DeleteMyra, I think I was selfish when I originally created the Tree Tour several years ago. I love Christmas trees, and I adore seeing how others decorate theirs. Whether designer-themed or homemade loveliness, they take my breath away and make me happy. So I pretty much celebrate more trees vicariously right here. I used to have room to set up four full-size trees, but now I squeeze in one, so the tree tour lets me have/borrow more trees. xoxo
DeleteThat tree in the picture, surrounded by books? That's actually my tree in my house. Getting those huge white letters to float in the air over and under the tree was a killer. But I managed it finally. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeletePS Just Kidding.
Floating letters????
DeleteOh, eee gads.
:)
I should have said that Pam Hillman designed that graphic!!!! My bad, Pammers! And then I went and made fun of you, what was I thinking????
Ruthy KNEW that wasn't my tree which, by the way, I put up yesterday. In fact I decorated my entire house. During halftime. DONE
DeleteMary, you have skills we haven't even seen yet!
DeleteSeekerville has definitely raised the bar with the floating letters, haven't we? lol
DeletePS... I have NO tree yet or any decorations out. I just returned from a cruise and am on deadline. After the 15th for sure! :)
I don't really have skills you haven't seen. I'm just a slacker and don't exactly go all out.
DeleteI actually enjoy decorating for Christmas but I really dislike taking it all down.
A few years ago, I realized the two were connected and I found a 20 minute version of decorating my house. And I regret NOTHING!!!!!
Ooh, a Christmas giveaway! I'd love to read these stories, especially the Hope for the Holidays historical collection :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Mary, regardless of its origins, that picture is beautiful! I wish I could design script like that. May have to copy the style for gift tags this year.

Sarah, hey! Good to see you! Tossing your name into the cat dish!
DeleteSarah, you can get the "Merry Christmas" banner from PicMonkey.com :)
DeleteThanks ladies!
DeleteWishing all of you at Seekerville a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I love giveaways and have my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteLori, we love giveaways too! I'm tossing your name into the cat dish, but I probably should change that to a Christmas Candy dish, shouldn't I????
DeleteMerry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win a book but I already have all four of those collections! The Seekers are on my auto-buy list so I usually have the books before they become prizes. But then I get to read them first!
So when are you going to be back on Seekerville? I'm going to guest host sometime in April, God willing.
You make a very welcome guest host. I hope to see you around. : )
Vince
Vince, are you over here schmoozing Cheryl???? :)
DeleteIsn't she wonderful? I can ask Cheryl anything and she's straight up and straight shooting. I love that about her! And she's coming to Seekerville in January to chat it up about her cookbook!!!!!
I am at Seekerville any chance I can get, Vince!
DeleteWriters Digest has been asking me for another book, so I could use your prayers that I make a good decision. Thank you!
Yo are a prince among men, Vince.
DeleteTell Linda I'm reading David Baldacci's Will Robie series. Has she read it?
I just finished book #1 and have book #2 here to dive into next!
Hi Mary:
DeleteLinda has not read any Will Robbie stories yet. I plan to. I have "The Hit", "The Target", and "The Innocent" on my Kindle right now. I also have "Memory Man" and three Vince Flynn novels. However, I like Jack Reacher and John Puller the best. Linda seems to be loving "Make Me". I don't read as fast as you do but if I could, I'd do my best to read as much as you do.
Vince
Hi Cheryl:
DeleteI'd be happy to pray for you to make the right decision on writing a nonfiction book. A lot of people have been praying for me of late and it would feel good to return the favor. Let go, let God.
Vince
Thank you so much and God bless you, Vince!
DeleteWhat a great giveaway! I love the Seekerville authors!
ReplyDeleteC.J.!!!! Thank you for that and for coming over here! Good to see you!
DeleteThanks! I would love to read any of these collections.
ReplyDeletePatty! Tossing your name into the Christmas candy dish and glad to see you!
DeleteWhat a nice tree! I hope mine looks like that. Any of those books would find a happy home under my tree.
ReplyDeleteDebby, thank you! Pam Hillman did the graphics (one of our wonderful historical authors) and isn't it wonderful???
DeleteI have only read Julie Lessman & Mary Connealy, and they are both awesome authors!
ReplyDeleteWould love to WIN and discover new authors.
lientjiehuman(at)yahoo(dot)com(dot)au
Lientjie, nice to see you here! We're tucking your name into the candy dish!
DeleteA Christmas tree of Seekerville books! Eeekkk! So awesome! Thank you, but no need to enter me, I already have all of them. Just wanted to stop by and say hi ! These are all great stories! Good luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for offering such a lovely giveaway to your readers. I think that it must be rather fun for an author to be writing a story about spring or summer when it's cold outside and vice versa when it's hot outside. When the cold or the heat are getting to you, transporting yourself to another climate is ideal.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
DeleteRUTHY!!! Blogger ate my comment yesterday, so I'm back again with fingers crossed!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, my friend, and MEGA HUGS TO Cheryl for hosting you with a giveaway!!
Gotta go tweet ...
Hugs!
Julie
Love the giveaway. Sorry, Facebook didn't show me your post until today and I was on the computer all day yesterday. With my new, spacious bedroom/office I'll be able to read in comfort without interruptions. Yay. That's my Christmas gift to myself.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, what a great giveaway with several of my favorite authors. Hope to win one of the Historical ones, but will read anything I can get my hands on. Take care and God Bless.
