My good pal Holly Jakobs promised to call me with the results one way or another tonight, and she did. So the good part was getting a call from Holly, live from the conference.

I know it's a cliche, but wasn't it great to have been nominated? I'm proud of you!!
It is great to be nominated. You gets lots of attention and kudos from authors and editors -- and the champagne ain't bad either.
