1. Cut out aluminum foil in desired shapes.
2. Arrange the turkey in the roasting pan, position the foil carefully.
3. Roast according to your own recipe and serve.
4. Watch your guests' faces.
May your stuffing be tasty.
your turkey be plump;
May your potatoes and gravy
never have a lump.
May your yams be delicious
and your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs!
My friend actually did this last Christmas and thought her Mom was having a heart attack when she saw it! Then everyone laughed hysterically. It really does work and is quite a conversation piece.

ReplyDeleteBut I don't know if I'd want turkey breast...under the circumstances....
ROFL. Too much effort for me, but glad to see results of someone who would take the time. husband would appreciate this humor; he fixes the turkey so will share with him to see if he wants to "go for it!" next year.
ReplyDeleteHe's traveling to FL to visit our son for this holiday so don't think I'll attempt it at the church dinner while I stay home- LOL
Thanks for the cute poem!!
