  1. I'm not a Janet Evanovich fan. Her books are good but I think she has a big head.
Speaking of big heads mine feels huge 'cause I've got a very bad cold.

  2. Do you, Mel? Have you met her? I met her many years back before her huge Stephanie Plum success, and she was extremely humble and actually cried telling about how blessed she felt to have become published at all. I have no idea now, of course, but that was my initial impression of her and it has stayed with me.

  5. I have never meet Janet Evanovich I would love too. I have read all her books I like them a lot. I have heard from people and if they like her they love her. But if they don't then, they really don't like her.

  6. Meljprincess maybe you are right about Janet I am a little upset I have written her and asked how she came up with Grandma Mazur? Since my last name is the same I was wondering if they knew someone by that name. Well she has a message the comes right back to the person sending the mail saying she is not able to answer the mail just read it, well what good is that? Plus I have bought some of her t-shirts on line and now the store has been closed until November well they it will be to late for Christmas if you wanted to give a gift to someone else that reads her. Well, I just thought you would like to hear this since I thought she was sooo good.
    Hope you are feeling better.

  7. Brenda, did you notice the comment that she signs 2,000 to 3,000 books at a booksigning???

I wonder how much email she gets!

  11. Cheryl, I'll check out her site Mon when I have more time. Thanks for the connection. I read the first 6 of her Stephanie Plum books & enjoyed her character, collected the rest, just waiting to reread when I can take a breather.
Mel, I'm getting over a moderate cold that had me skip 2 evenings of my PT job so know how you're feeling; pray you are well soon!! Hot & Sour soup if you can't get chicken or turkey noodle or vegetable; had some of each this week.
Brenda, hope things turn around for you. Think balloons-they are so uplifting! Was walking Buddy Lee this AM, wishing I had a camera to take a photo of six ducks & 3 enormous dogs when a HUGE RED hot air balloon floated over the woods against a bright BLUE sky with a few WHITE clouds.
How patriotic!! LOL Happy for a second day of sunshine after several weeks of rain & chilly gloom.

  13. Jennifer, Twelve Sharp was the last one so 12 is the answer. I am six behind, only have thru 8 or 9.
Cheryl, when I heard Alex Kava at the Plattsmouth Public library 10/5 on her Nebraska 22-town library tour sponsored by our Governor, she mentioned Janet E trying to resolve a problem with her rights to the Stephanie Plum name due to early contracts.
Janet's last comment in the internet interview mentions wishing she hadn't used her long real name as writing Janet Evanovich for 2-3,000 books adds up to finger cramps. So if I became a published writer fortunate enough to be signing books, I better not go for Lou Pilgrim Cherry, let alone Lou Ann PC. And that was one of the 4 reasons for keeping my birth name; look at all the triple name authors: Louisa May Alcott, Ralph Waldo Emerson, etc, etc. Such august company!! LOL
(Every Waking Moment for 2nd phase of contest since I already have the 5 CSJ books. Lucky me!)
