| Merrillee's 2016 Christmas Tree |
This is my family room tree. I decorate it with ornaments that I’ve collected through the years. I have a dated ornament for every year that my husband and I have been married. I have ornaments that my kids made and ornaments from places we’ve visited in the US and abroad. Every time I put one on the tree I’m reminded of the person connected with the ornament or the places we have visited.
Max Reynolds wants one thing—to find the family of the father he never knew, the father who didn't want him. But Max’s goal is cast aside when he is diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. And worse yet, his oncology nurse is meddlesome Heather Watson—the woman who destroyed his hope of marrying the woman he loved. Heather finds a challenge in guiding her friend’s neglectful ex-boyfriend through his fight against cancer.
To their surprise, romantic sparks fly between them. But Max faces a critical health decision, and Heather must meddle one last time, risking her heart on a long shot chance to give Max a future, with or without her. Will he win his battle with cancer only to lose a chance at love?
