mine are violets, lilacs, anything lavender/purple, but I am looking at 8 long-stemmed roses from hubby (an apology), 2 each: red, rose, yellow, & white. If they were all as beautiful as these 3" blossoms, roses might become my favorite. I worked in a flower shop for 2 years & numerous complaints may have colored my mind darkly. For our 20th anniversary, he presented a mixture of 5 colors in 20 roses, but for the 25th, it was 2 dz red with a silver/rose color for the last one. He's English & great at offering flowers for no reason, besides events & contrition. Local Christian radio station just quoted 65% of women consider roses or flowers to be a romantic gesture.
What a perfect rose! I seriously need to move mine this fall. I have no idea where its going to land, but it is too crowded next to the lilac bush and the clamentis.
Why is that saying, "Roses are red, violets are blue.."? Violets are violet! Purple! I like pansies too, Cheryl. And, I'll take a box of chocolate shaped like anything. LOL!
Oh, they're so beautiful! Roses are my favorite flower. What's yours Cheryl? Everybody?

ReplyDeleteI love violets or pansies.

Now a box of chocolates shaped like roses.....
