A Reader's Bookshelf: Marilyn Puett

I live in a small apartment so my bookshelf space is minimal.  But many of the shelves hold double rows of books.  My tiara sits on the top along with photos of my late father.  My Squirrel of Mass Distraction and Plot Bunny play on the third shelf and above that is my “Academy Award” for Best Betrayed Spouse in a Leading Role.

Not sure what I’ll do when this one fills up.  I just might have to get rid of some shoes *GASP!* and put a bookshelf in my closet.  I do have a Kindle so that helps a lot.  It’s usually on the nightstand or the end table in the living room.

Thanks for a nice revealing gawk at your bookshelf, Marilyn!

  1. Looks comfy, although that second-from-the-bottom row is a little too neat--you probably need to look for something in there!

  3. It's a work in progress. LOL. That "too neat" row is actually the collected works of a single author who is a dear friend. The bottom shelf has all books by members of my RWA chapter, Heart of Dixie. Yet another shelf has all the books by another good author friend. And as I said, there are books behind what you see. The second row with the Oscar is all craft books. And the top row is a mix -- hardbacks, an older edition of Grimms's Fairy Tales, an autographed copy of a book by the late Lewis Grizzard and a copy of Moonshot autographed by astronaut Alan Sheppard.

I have photos of my granddaughter and my writing buddies. The little blue pig is my piggy bank from childhood. And that clock is to remind me of my all-time favorite superhero, Superman.

This is a great idea, Cheryl! It's fun to gawk at others' bookshelves.
