Premiere Week - what's a viewer to do?

Wouldn't you know, just to make the choices more difficult, Hallmark Channel is running western week against the new season premieres! So, okay, those of you who have read my blog long enough know that the new fall season puts a writer in a quandary. Can't miss your old favorites, want to make sure you don't miss anything new that might be fabulous, but there's just not enough time - and I don't TiVo. This season they've really made a couple of the nights difficult, moving around shows against each other...

I never like the shows everyone else goes gaga over - Lost, Desperate Housewives - I watched the first several eposides and finally went, "Whaaa?"

Mondays aren't too bad for choices. I'm not a Bachelor fan, but I know a lot of you are.

I may have watched one episode of Prison Break.

I will have to see the premiere of Journeyman tonight, however, where a reporter travels to the past.

Over time I've probably watched a total of four episodes Dancing With the Stars and it was okay. This season, however, I'm drawn to the celebrity dancers for a look-see. Marie Osmond? Wayne Newton? Scary Spice? Jane Seymore? I confess I want a peek at Albert Reed.

The glitsy costumes, the music, it just looks fun.

God bless whoever gave me a subscription to this oversized TV Guide! I love it!

I'm so looking forward to the premiere of Heroes, and I'll confess, I'm anxious to see the new Bionic Woman!

  2. Hi Hall!!! Good to see you here at Cheryls. She runs a tight ship so we have to behave. lol!

None of the new fall season TV shows appeal to me except for MY NAME IS EARL. I'm looking forward to more episodes of WEEDS and CALIFORNICATION. Plus the season premiere of DEXTER and BROTHERHOOD on Showtime.

Glad you have shows you're looking forward to. When I sign on for a show, I hate to miss an episode. That's my my DVR was my best geek toy of late. I love that the episodes are always there waiting for me!

  4. I haven't been all that interested in Lost or Desperate Housewives either. I'm looking forward to seeing the second season of Numb3rs. And thanks to the local library I have been able to see some of my old favorites on DVD, like Dempsey and Makepeace and David Attenborough's documentaries. I wish they would have Bones, too. They showed few episodes on tv and then they cancelled it!

  6. Isn't it? And it's not the first time they have done something like this. So it's no surprise to me that when this month here in Finland the tv transmissions were turned from analogical to digital there were a lot of people who didn't bother to buy that thing that would have allowed them to watch the programs. Instead they just bought the DVD player and stopped paying the television licence.

  7. A television license? I guess that might be like how we pay for cable or satellite?

  9. I hate to miss an episode too, Holly. I'm glad there are replays during the week for the shows I like. And we have In Demand so I can watch all the episodes if I want to. Usually make a night of that.
Well we can misbehave a little. I've been a naughty girl in here occasionally. *weg*
