ALWAYS A GEM: ALWAYS ANNIE by Liz Flaherty

Wow, I can't begin to imagine how many authors got their start at Precious Gems. Do you remember these hard-to-find books? I have favorite authors that I discovered writing for this line.

Our guest blogger Liz Flaherty is giving away TWO of these collectible gems to a couple of you lucky readers! How cool is that? And what do you have to do to be eligible? POST COMMENTS!!

Josh and Annie find out if love really is better the second time around.

Annie Houston has a lot to celebrate this Christmas. Her bookstore is thriving and she owns the coziest house in town. Still, something is missing from her life--until her single ex-husband comes for the holidays with his stepsons in tow. There's a lodging crisis and Annie invites them all to stay at her place.

Josh thought leaving Annie was the biggest mistake he'd ever made, but this was worse. Living under the same roof with her has stirred cherished memories and delicious feelings. But it's too late for him and Annie. Or is it?

  1. Oh, both of Liz's books sound so good! She sounds like a blast (something like you Cheryl?) and fun to hang with. Thank you Liz for your writing. You know, it's hard for me to put most books down after I've read them once, so I read them again. ESPECIALLY, Ms. Cheryl's!!! Debbie Maccomber's books do the same thing to me. I get so wrapped up in her Cedar Cove series that I have to reread the whole series each time a new one comes out! And this is the 7th one!!!! Thanks again Liz!!!

  2. Sue, did you say you loved Susannah's Garden? I have it on my desk right now, but can't open it until I work.

Have a few "Precious Gems". Would really enjoy this one.
Can you believe I've never read Debbie Macomber?

  4. This book sounds great! I kind of miss the Precious Gem romances. I still have a lot of them and love them. They were quick reads and you are right, I discovered a lot of great authors with them.

  5. Cheryl, Susannah's Garden was great as well. It brought back characters from Blossom Street. It's one of her 'hard to put down' books.
Mel, you have GOT TO read one of Debbie Macombers books! They are so cool. In her series one, she updates you and fills you in, without taking away from the story itself.

  6. Sue, I read where she has her first non-fiction book coming out. You would probably like that one, too.

  8. Debbie Macomber's books are my favorites...next to Cheryl's of course. I think at last count I had 46 of her books! I have a really easy time finding her books out here since she's a fellow Washinton resident. None of the stores ever carry Cheryl's so I have to order them online. Anyway, "Susannah's Garden" is wonderful. You have to read the first two Blossom Street books too. You will all love them.

  9. Betsy, I'm sorry you can't get Cheryl's books there. I have a good time finding them at Walmart. I agree with Debbie M.'s books. I just started collecting hers. Thanks Cheryl for introducing me to all these wonderful new authors!!!

  10. Where should I start, Sue? Would you give me a few titles? Thanks.

  11. Sue:

Are you in the Northwest? I've checked all three of our Walmarts here and they never have them.

  12. Mel, the Cedar Cove titles are: 16 Lighthouse Road, 204 Rosewood Lane, 311 Pelican Court, 44 Cranberry Point, 50 Harbor Street, 6 Rainier Drive and the recent one is 74 Seaside Avenue. She also has Savannah's Garden, A Good Yarn, The Shop on Blossom Street and Back on Blosson Street. Betsy, I live in the same city as Cheryl in NE. I have also found Cheryl's books in some grocery stores. I don't know why some Walmarts would have them and not others. I picked up alot of Debbie Macomber books at Barnes and Nobles. Might try there.

  13. Mel, you can get entire list at debbiemacomber.com . I have her on favorites, just after CSJ. her publicist sends quarterly mail and I even got a postcard when she was coming to Omaha, NE- great since our hoped-for-trip to Seattle didn't pan out.
Betsy, I have 76 and she signed 26 this time.
Cheryl & Sue, her non-fiction is top of my list for next purchase after a Bible study that finishes early Dec.
