  2. Katrina, THANKS! I knew you were a good addition when you joined Cheryl's posts. Our son David is a movie buff like me and a comedian besides so it was fun to call him over to share this while he is home from college in FL (FAMU).

  4. Cool!

I saw the move WE ARE MARSHALL with Matthew McConaughey this weekend and LOVED it! Very touching movie with some funny moments to break up the sadness. I highly recommend it even if you aren't a football fan or don't know the story behind the film.

  6. Jen, thanks for the recommendation; sounds like a movie to see with sons & hubby; movie promos look GOOD (PG-13)! Though I am NOT a football or sports fan, some of my FAVORITE movies are Remember the Titans, Hoosiers, Quarterback Princess, Cool Runnings, Chariots of Fire, Heaven Can Wait; played softball 8 yrs so Field of Dreams (I'm from Iowa), A League of Their Own,& Bull Durham complete the list. DH gave me the 2 season set of Sports Night on DVD since I watched it faithfully. Today heard wonderful, entertaining, inspirational speaker, Aaron Davis (former Cornhusker under Coach Tom Osborne-championship year 1994)
and he HIGHLY recommended the new Will Smith movie, Pursuit of HAPPYness and admitted crying at it. I recommend HIM as a speaker to schools, churches & corporations. He is a black man who talks about being married to a white woman from rural NE, family man with 3 kids, really gets the audience involved and thinking about priorities. He DOES travel & is very personable, articulate. (aarondavisspeaks.com)

  7. Cool LuckyLou...I haven't seen that film yet.

WE ARE MARSHALL was a bit of a tearjerker for me, but it was wonderfully done.

I like you movie list. Remember The Titans was actually filmed at my college...the scenes where they are at football camp. Field of Dreams is probably my fave sports movie...my dad loves The Natural with Robert Redford.
