Bones has been all reruns, and tonight's preview advertised a new show January 24th! However, they ran back to back episodes tonight and I saw one I'd missed. Remember when shows used to premiere in September and you'd get new programs clear up until the next summer and summer was reruns?!? Now we're lucky to get five or six episodes in between which they're breaking for football and basketball, and then of course no new shows through Christmas. Gives us time to shop around for new stuff, I guess. They're now showing the 2nd season of The Closer on Tues nites on TNT.

  1. Cheryl, remember when I told you about Kathy Reich's books? BONES is the show about Reich's character Tempe Brennen and the shows are not as good as her books but they give you an idea of what the books are about.

  2. Mel, I bought a stack of Kathy Reich's books and didn't like them as well as the TV show. Perhaps too graphic for me? The characters weren't the same. A lot of mundane things take place in the books and I couldn't get into her her head for some reason. But then I'd already been hooked on the show. I gave all the books to my chiropractor and he's enjoying them. LOL

Obviously a lot of people like them as she's a best seller -- AND they made a TV show from them!

  3. There is also a book called Bones Buried Deep written by Max Allan Collins that is based on the tv series Bones. I read one of Reich's books and I must say I prefer the tv series and Collins's book. By the way, has any one been watching Numb3rs?

  5. Minna, I like Numb3ers, but it's on Friday nights and that is my critique group night. I have never managed to record it.
