I read a book............

I read every Ann Frasier book that comes out and look forward to the next. Her characters are often disturbing, and she always comes up with something unique. This story is gripping, as are all of hers, though this time I felt as though I was reading a Stephen King book. It hooked me from the start and I stayed awake way too late in order to finish, so that says a lot. It wasn't a feel-good read, but it was a good read.

  1. I really want to read that book! It's interesting that she was inspired by Finnish stuff.

  2. One warning: the end is open-ended because there's a sequel coming.

  3. So I've heard...
Here are some pictures inspired by Kalevala, including "Lemminkäinen's Mother", by the river of Tuonela.

  5. I love Anne Fraiser myself. I also loved her romances as Teresa Weir.

I have just started Pale Immortal, but it is very griping.

  6. Me too, Flip! Her most famous is AMAZON LILLY, but my favorite is LONG NIGHT MOON. I reread it recently.
