Happy Birthday Guys

Here's Adam and Eric again. They celebrate birthdays within a week of each other, and their party was today. They're the kids directly in front of their cakes.

We have rain and more rain in Nebraska! Cucumber production had already slowed down due to lack of warm enough weather and now the tomatoes have slowed down.

  1. We celebrate birthdays that are close together with one party, too. However, we only have one cake! lol Most of us aren't big cake eaters so one is enough! That is another nice photo of the kids!

  2. These are the only birthdays we do together, and that's my daughter's choice, since we have birthdays every month throughout most of the year.

My IMMEDIATE family is 24, then add in friends and others who come, we can eat some cake. The chocolate one on the pic was gone in an instant.

Last Sunday when we were driving home after church and dinner out, I said to the kids in the car, "It's my birthday, shall we bake a cake?"

Alexis said, "It's not your bithday, Bama."

I said, "It's not? Well, shoot, I really wanted a cake. Is it YOUR birthday?"

She caught on at that instant and nodded her head. "It IS our birthdays!"

So we baked a chocolate cake together. It was yummy.

  3. Happy Birthday to them!

We celebrate birthdays that are close together around the same time too. I remember as a kid sharing a family party (and cake) with my two younger cousins (all of us had December birthdays).

Our family also has a tendency to share birthdates...as in, people are born on the same day but different years...very odd, but has happened 4 or 5 times. We also tend to have birthdays very close together rather than spread out. Each month is someone's birthday though.
