Harvest!

The small variety pumkins that Alexis planted (she brought a plant home in a cup from school last Spring) are ripe. The others, Elijah's jack-o-lantern variety, are still ripening on the vine and are SO pretty! Here's Kristin cutting pumpkins today.

  1. How nice that you are a picture-taker when your family is so photogenic!! Appreciate you sharing your nature shots, too.
Harvested my neighbor's garden for a week in early Aug, should go see how her watermelons & pumpkins are doing. School for staff starts today so I will see her shortly and find out.

  3. I, too, love pumpkins. I wish I had a house and a garden so I could grow flowers and veggies. I remember once going to Mass to see my Sis and we went to a huge field and picked out our own pumpkin. It was fun

  4. Your garden looks fantastic. My poor husband planted a garden that our daughter started and abandoned and his results have been disappointing.

  5. Lou, I have always loved taking pictures. I think if I wasn't a writer, I'd be a photographer. And now that I have a digital camera, well, I'm just dangerous. LOL

  6. Pumpkin pie is my favorite! My daughter is growing pumpkins in her yard, too. I'll have to check to see how they are doing. The kids love to paint them and cut out the faces for Halloween!
