Fall UK release

I have a UK release coming this fall. This is MILLION-DOLLAR MAKEOVER. I've inquired about UK releases and I can't order them for myself through Harlequin. :-(

Bummer, because I really wanted more of THE MISTAKEN WIDOW which was out this month.

  1. Cheryl, why can't you order them? How many do you want?

  2. I guess because they're published overseas, not here in the US, and they are considered foreign releases. I'd like at least ten or twelve so I have them for prizes, etc..

  3. I have the US version of this book. How sad that you can't order them.

  4. Would someone else be able to order them for you?

  5. Have you considered e-mailing a British author and asking her to send you 10? Ya'll could work something out for payment I'm sure. Nicola Cornick is a good friend of mine. Want me to ask her? Or want me to give her the dirt and you ask her? I also have friends in England. That may be an option. What do you think?

  6. You could try ordering through Mills and Boon or Amazon.uk - but I'm sure the shipping costs would be terrible. meljprincess' idea sounds much more practical if you have contacts among the UK authors....

  7. That is a good idea, and I know a few UK HH authors through our author link. Seems like an imposition at first thought, but I guess I sure wouldn't mind doing it for them. Good thought, thanks.

  8. YAY! You're welcome. Good luck, Cheryl. If you need my help please let me know. I really don't think they would mind doing that for you.

  9. Sounds like a good plan. Like you said, you'd do it for them. I've found most authors to be very gracious. And 6 degree of separation leads you to a connection, like thru Mel. My husband is English, but only knows 3 people still over there. Our minister spent a yr there 10+ yrs ago but has returned once. NETWORK is more than a buzz word, Just do it!
