these are a few of my favorite things....

  1. Absolutely beautiful! I remember when I was small and had tea sets and very small cups and saucers. They were antiques. Do you know what I'm talking about, Cheryl? What's the name of your set? My Mom and I used to have tea and cookies every once and a while. And, when I was in London in '84 I had tea at Harrods.

  2. Yes, I had a set that my uncle brought me from Korea when he was in the service. I gave it to my granddaughter. I had small collectable cups and saucers after that. My grandmother started buying them for me. They were on an outside wall in a house we rented when I was first married, and someone working on the outside of the house hammered and they all fell and broke. I don't collect miniature sizes anymore, although I have one that a freind brought e from New Orleans.

I love teapots and cups and saucers and my favorites have roses.

I have a vintage teacart that my husband restored. It sits in my living room, and it holds part of the rose collection. I shop thrift stores, garage sales and fleamarkets for pieces. I'm more of an eclectic collector than having to have all matching pieces.

  3. That is really beautiful! I would love to have something that nice! I love going to garage sales and flea markets but I've never seen anything like that. I guess I'm going to the wrong ones! lol

  4. Cheryl,
If it ever stops raining here, and I get to hit yard sales and such, I'm going to look for something special for you.
Carol, I'll send you books. LOL!
